Processing meteorological data has never been easier using BREEZE AERMET Pro.

BREEZE AERMET Pro is used to process meteorological data for input into the BREEZE AERMOD dispersion model. BREEZE has two versions of AERMET:

  • AERMET Pro: an external program which processes raw, hourly meteorological data files
  • AERMET: a productivity tool within BREEZE AERMOD which allows users to add site-specific land-use characteristics to merged data files

AERMET Tiled

BREEZE AERMET Pro processes raw, hourly meteorological data files through three distinct modules or "stages":

  • Stage 1: Extracts and quality checks weather station data. For international locations, mixing height parameters are calculated in this stage.
  • Stage 2: Merges relevant data into a single file.
  • Stage 3: Processes the merged file and calculates hourly values of planetary boundary layer (PBL) parameters for use in AERMOD. This stage requires the input of three site-specific, land-use parameters: surface roughness, Bowen ratio, and albedo.

BREEZE AERMET Pro includes modules for processing NWS data types (e.g. CD-144, TD-3505/ISH) AND for converting ADMS data files into AERMOD-ready format. Processing data from an onsite tower is easier than ever with AERMET Pro.

Stage 3 is included as a tool in BREEZE AERMOD so that merged data files purchased from vendors, such as BREEZE, can be processed with site-specific, land-use parameters.
