Air Pollution Emission Management
This three-day course will enhance your technical understanding for air pollution emission sources from process industries. Tops include emission quantification methods for various types of sources (e.g., heaters, flares, compressor engines, tanks, process emissions) as well as pollution reduction via source control technologies and good engineer practices. Attendees will learn the basics of quantifying emissions from typical industrial sources, gain the basic understanding of the formation of particulate and gaseous emissions, and how to minimize these emissions with appropriate chemical/physical mechanisms. The sources for obtaining further information on these topics will be provided for future application. The course also reviews physical, chemical, and engineering principles of emissions quantification and control devices.

Chemical Accidental Releases Prevention Program
This two-day course provides an overview of three key elements of a chemical accident prevention program: accidental release modeling analysis, process safety management, and emergency response system. Modelled based on the USEPA Risk Management Program (RMP) Rule, the course focused on the technical requirements of the chemical prevention program that are the most challenge part of the rule. The accidental release modeling analysis will include source term calculations, selecting appropriate models, and dispersion modeling analysis for various release scenarios for typical chemical releases. The process safety program (PSM) will provide an overview of key elements of PSM and introduce the HAZOP methodology for chemical processes. The course will conclude with an overview of the key elements of an effective emergency response system.

Dispersion Modeling for Managers - Planning & Review
This is a one-day course for environmental managers who review, manage, or use dispersion modeling as a tool for completing air quality studies as part of compliance studies or permitting submittals. The course covers the fundamentals of modeling concepts and regulatory requirements for state and federal permitting. Both screening and refined modeling tools are presented within the context of the basic physics of the atmosphere as well the practical aspects of model set up, model objectives, source characterization, meteorology, and interpretation of results. Hands on example problems give the manager a practical view of modeling and dispel the sometimes daunting science of modeling allowing a better comprehension of model differences, complicating factors, and uncertainties.
